The official Erasmus+Friends Gallery

Under the link www.uni-ulm.de/erasmus-ulm-fotos/ you'll find the official Erasmus+Friends Gallery of Ulm. We present here some of our photos to give you an impression of our activities. Unfortunately, this is not a complete list, because we just moved this site so that we are still in the process of renewing. But we will try to put on more pictures in the future.

Everyone can register and also upload his/her own pictures.

Uploading pictures to the Erasmus Gallery

Every member can upload his or her photos from Erasmus+Friends excursions, trips, parties, regulars' tables, etc. in the official Erasmus+Friends Gallery.

Registration

If you haven't already uploaded some photos, you first have to register. To do this, go to the registration-page of the gallery and enter your user name, name (please enter at least your real first name), and email address. The name will be placed right next to the photos, however, your email address won't be published. After clicking on "registration" you'll receive an email with a link to confirm your registration. Click on that link to activate your user account.

Create an album and upload photos from your browser

There are several possibilities

  1. In order to create an album and upload photos, you have to login with your user name and password by clicking on the link "Anmelden" (login) on the top right side of the page.
  2. If you upload photos, check if there is already an album for this event in this semester. If not, you can create a new one by clicking on "Album hinzufügen" (add an album). If there is already an album, you can skip this step and go directly to step 3.

In order to create an album for an event, open the album for the related semester (e.g. "Sommersemester 2006") and click on the link "Album hinzufügen" (add an album). Enter the "name" and "title" in the corresponding fields. The "name" corresponds to the "file name" of the album, and should only consist of small letters, no spaces or special characters. Please use the name of the event, e.g. "barfuesser", "erasmus-party" or "mario-geburtstag". The name becomes part of the URL, e.g. "fotos/ss06/barfuesser/". The "title" is the name of the event. Please enter the name of the event in German in that field followed by the date in the format day.month.year, e.g. "Erasmus-Abend Barfüßer 2.5.06" or "Erasmus-Party 29.4.06". The title will be one part of the captions, e.g. "Erasmus Ulm > Sommersemester 2006 > Erasmus-Abend Barfüßer 2.5.06". The other fields (Zusammenfassung, Beschreibung) are optional. Click on "Erstellen" (create) to create the album.
  3. Now create an album for your own photos inside the event-album. Even if you are the first to upload photos for this event others can upload their pictures in other albums next to yours afterwards. To do this, go to the album of the event and click on "Album hinzufügen" (add an album).

The name should be your first name, e.g. "jonas" or "ekaitz". It has to be written in small letters and without any spaces or special characters. The name will be part of the URL, e.g. www.erasmus-ulm.de/fotos/ss06/barfuesser/jonas/. Write in the title that this album contains your pictures, e.g. "Jonas' Fotos" or "Blancas Fotos". The title will be part of the caption of the album, e.g. "Erasmus Ulm > Sommersemester 2006 >Erasmus-Abend Barfüßer 2.5.06 > Jonas' Fotos". The following fields are optional. Click on "Erstellen" (create) to create your album.
  4. Now you can upload your photos. Open the user album which you have just created. Click on the link "Elemente hinzufügen" (add elements) in the menu on the left side. On the following page, you have several possibilities to upload photos. We advise you to use the "Hochlade-Applet" ("Upload Applet"), as you can easily upload a lot of pictures in a short time and simultaneously name (optional) all photos. With the button "Bilder hinzufügen" (add photos) or via Drag&Drop you can add them to the list. If you like, you can give them a name. Click on the button "Hochladen" (upload) to transfer the photos on the server. Using this method the photos cannot be automatically down-sized. The photos will be resized on the server, but the transfer might last a long time if you don't resize the pictures beforehand. Microsoft offers the Image Resizer PowerToy for Windows XP to resize pictures very fast (with a right click on the file)

  5. Finished! Your photos are online!
